Caretaker
Moorcroft was opened in January 1993 and is a light, bright, welcoming centre for the whole community. Facilities include a drop-in cafe area in which to relax and enjoy time with friends; multi-use spaces for events and activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and caring team and help promote the community centre within the Woking area. You will work alongside experienced staff that are more than willing to pass on their knowledge and expertise to help you within your role.
Your responsibilities will include; but, are not limited to the following:
- Ensuring the centre is well presented and clean at all times using various cleaning techniques (full training will be given).
- Providing basic building maintenance alongside contracted maintenance staff.
- Responsible for the preparation of the rooms for various functions ensuring these are clean and tidy and ready for the function/activities to take place.

As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Assistance will be given by the Council and further details will be in the job application pack.
This is a part time position working 25 hours per week, to be worked sometimes by split shifts; including occasional out of hours work, if covering evening hires/key holding.
