Ensuring property addresses are accurate is a critical daily need for our services and those of our partner organisations. Woking has an excellent reputation for the quality of its addressing data and customer care in helping stakeholders with this.
We are looking for an individual with the knowledge and experience to proactively fulfil this role. Key responsibilities are implementing the Council’s street naming and numbering procedures, and development and maintenance of the local land and property gazetteer.
Applicants should have a good standard of education, ideally to degree level or equivalent, and relevant work experience.
Essential skills include excellent communication, IT, organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to work to deadlines under pressure. The ability to work on your own initiative and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement will be important.
The successful candidate will at times also manage projects on other topics and assist in the GIS function, hence experience in these areas is also desirable.
