About the Role 

As a Service Desk Analyst, you’ll be the first point of contact for all digital, data, and technology support across the Council. From troubleshooting network and server issues to managing asset inventories and supporting end-user devices, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our digital services running smoothly. 

You’ll also: 

  • Provide first-line support via phone, email, and face-to-face 
  • Log and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs 
  • Support infrastructure systems including servers, networks, and telecoms 
  • Assist with device deployments and infrastructure security 
  • Help drive our digital transformation and self-service initiatives 

What We’re Looking For 

We’re seeking someone who is: 

  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills 
  • Experienced in M365 administration and Active Directory 
  • Skilled in troubleshooting IT and telephony infrastructure 
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently 
  • Flexible to support occasional evening/weekend work and on-call duties 

Essential qualifications and experience include: 

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths 
  • Strong knowledge of M365 tools and IT support environments 
  • A commitment to best practice in cyber security and data protection
