Join us in this fixed term role until 31st March 2025, designed to support and empower community groups in their transition towards operating the boroughs community facilities. Be a part of facilitating the process from initial consultation to the preparation for the assumption of responsibility. Make a meaningful impact on our community’s future and contribute to the enhancement of our shared spaces.
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the administration of expressions of interest, engaging proactively with interested parties, and providing comprehensive support to community groups navigating the application process for the operation of our esteemed facilities. You will need to collaborate across various council departments, you will harness your network within the organisation to craft robust business cases and effectively advocate for deserving candidates before the decision-making board.
Additionally, you will play a crucial role in shaping future service level agreements, ensuring the sustainability of community organizations while maximizing social benefits for the residents of Woking.”
This role comes at a time when Woking Borough is going through extensive change and this role will have a notable impact on what these services look like in the future meaning a passion for community provision is essential when considering the role.
